Paste it where your team already is

The default way to share is the clipboard. Capture the page, copy the image, and paste it into the Slack thread, the Jira ticket, the Linear issue, the email or the doc you were going to write anyway. The person receiving it needs nothing: no extension, no account, no link to open. Send to Slack or Discord and export the annotations (Premium)

Premium adds destinations that skip the paste step. Send the screenshot to a Slack channel, or to a Discord channel, thread or forum post, from the panel, with an optional message, without leaving the page. Or export the annotations themselves, not just a picture of them, as a JSON file: anyone with Highlite can import that file on the same page to get the same highlights, notes and drawings back, editable. Importing is free for everyone, so a Premium user can hand a file to a teammate on the free plan. To keep the words rather than the page, copy or download your highlights and notes as Markdown: highlights become quotes and notes become paragraphs, in the order they sit on the page, under its title and address. Send to your own webhook (Premium)

A webhook destination POSTs the capture to any URL you set: a Zapier, Make or n8n trigger, or your own endpoint. From there the image can open a Jira ticket, land in a Notion page or a Google Drive folder, whatever your automation does. The request goes straight from your browser to that URL, never through a Highlite server. Choose multipart (the PNG as a file) or JSON (the image in base64), add custom headers such as a secret token, and include the page URL and title if you want them. What sharing means in Highlite

Highlite shares the result of your review, not a live workspace. Annotations are made in your browser, stay there, and go out only when you capture or export them. That keeps the tool private by default and removes the account, invite and workspace setup that hosted feedback tools require. The trade-off is that there is no shared page where several people annotate together.

What sharing & export does not do

• There is no shared canvas or real-time collaboration: teammates do not see your annotations on their own screen. What you share is a screenshot, or a JSON file they import.
• Slack and Discord are the only built-in integrations. There is no direct export to Jira, Linear, Notion, Trello, Figma or email; paste the screenshot from the clipboard, or route it there through a webhook and Zapier, Make or n8n.
• Markdown and JSON export and sending to Slack, Discord or a webhook require Premium and a Highlite account (Google sign-in).
• The Markdown export carries text only: drawings, arrows and shapes are left out, and it cannot be imported back.
• A JSON file is imported on the same page it was exported from. It is not a link, and it does not carry the page itself.
• There is no public link to an annotated page, no comment threads and no notification when someone views what you shared.
