How to choose
The tools above solve two different problems. Most of them are feedback platforms: a workspace where comments become tasks, with assignees, statuses and integrations into Jira, GitHub or Trello. Some add a widget to your site so visitors and clients can report issues without installing anything. If your team needs that pipeline, and someone to triage it, a platform is the right choice.
Highlite solves the step before. You open a page, mark it up with highlights, sticky notes, arrows and shapes, capture it, and send the image where the conversation already happens. There is no workspace to create and no account to open, and your annotations stay in your browser.
A quick test: if the feedback needs to be tracked until someone closes it, pick a platform. If it needs to be understood at a glance, an annotated screenshot is usually enough. The two also combine well.
Web Highlights is the odd one out: a reading highlighter that builds a library of what you saved, not a feedback tool. The difference with Highlite there is visual markup, and how the free plan is financed.
