What is Highlite?

Highlite started with diapers. I was looking for the best price for my son's, and every shop sold packs of a different size at a different price. To compare the price per diaper, I needed to write it down on each page and find it there when I came back. So I built a small extension, just for me, to put sticky notes on web pages.

Then the developer in me took over. I have been writing software for more than ten years, and I thought of all the back-and-forth around feedback: a UI/UX designer, a QA tester or a product owner trying to explain in a message what was wrong on a page. An arrow, a circle or a note on the page itself says it faster. So I opened the extension up to all of that.

I still build Highlite on my own: the extension, this website and the blog. Annotating is free and always will be; Premium is optional. If something breaks or a feature is missing, write to me at contact@get-highlite.app. The reply comes from me.
