How to add sticky notes to a webpage

Steps
- Click the Highlite icon to open the toolbar.
- Click Sticky note, or press N. The hint bar reads "Click anywhere to place a sticky note".
- Choose a color and a size in the panel. For notes, the size (S, M, L, XL) sets the font size.
- Click the spot on the page where the note belongs and type. Press Enter to finish, Shift+Enter for a new line, or Esc to stop editing.
- To change a note later, switch to Select (V). Drag the note to move it, double-click it to edit the text, or pick a new color or size in the panel.
- To delete a note, select it and click Delete in the panel, press the Delete key, or click it with the Eraser.
Sticky note or text box?
A sticky note is a colored card, so it reads as a comment on the page. A Text box (T) writes the words straight onto the page with no card behind them, which suits short labels next to an element. Both take the same colors and sizes and both appear in screenshots.
Limitations
- A sticky note is a fixed-size card. Long text shrinks to fit, so a note holds a few sentences. Use several notes for longer comments.
- Notes are plain text: no formatting, links or images.
- Notes stay in your browser. Teammates see them only in a screenshot or a JSON export (Premium). There are no replies or threads.
- There is no list of notes across pages and no search.

Why does the text in my sticky note get smaller?
The note keeps a fixed size and shrinks the text to fit. Split a long comment into two notes, or use a text box.
Can my teammates see my sticky notes?
Not live. Notes are stored in your browser only. Capture a screenshot and paste it where your team works, or export the annotations as JSON with Premium so they can import them.
Can I add a link or bold text to a note?
No. Sticky notes hold plain text only.
